Get a degree or certification through civilian education programs

For information on civilian training or education contact your unit training coordinator or call Deets at 703-784-3101 or via email at jamie.deets@usmc.mil The Academic Degree Program This program allows appropriated fund employees who have already exhausted their GI Bill benefits, to pursue an associates degree, bacholers degree, masters degree and even get their doctorate or a professional certification, with funding provided by the government. The requirements are: • Degree or certification must be pursued through an accredited school; • You must gain acceptance into school of your choice; • Simply pick your classes; • Fill out a Form SF 182, get it signed by your supervisor, then email it to Jamie Deets, management analyst in charge of civilian training aboard base, at: jamie.deets@usmc.mil. • If funding is approved an email will be sent to you stating that you have been approved to receive funding for the class or classes....
